Our Mission
At Red Flag Awareness, our mission is to empower teenagers with the knowledge, confidence and resources they need to recognise, address and prevent domestic abuse in adolescence. We believe education is key to creating lasting and meaningful change.
Domestic abuse is often a taboo subject among teenagers, which can prevent from important conversations being held. It has become an important mission for us to break this silence by encouraging open and age appropriate discussions about healthy and unhealthy relationships.
By educating young people on the signs and effects of domestic abuse, we aim to help prevent future abusive relationships and help others identify if they are already in one, so that help can be sought. Early Education can also support young people in understanding acceptable and unacceptable behaviour, helping to challenge harmful attitudes before they develop any further.
Through raising awareness, we hope to prevent the normalisation of abuse within households and communities, which could contribute to safer relationships in future generations.
